Augrabies Falls goes off.

There are 3000 cumecs of thunder heading for Augrabies Falls. They are gonna go off. If ever you wanted to be impressed by a waterfall, now is the time. Should get here on Sunday and looking at the charts, should run like that for at least two more.Augrabies translates as "Place of Great Noise". Seeing it at this level, you do get the full affect.EnjoyAndrew072 515 6079See More

Tugela Valley and Jamiesons Drift

Had lunch today under the Jamiesons Drift bridge. Not too many problems with the locals. and running the gauntlet through Kranskop was not too difficicult at all, with only occasional variables to be considered. The road to the old Tugela River Rafting camp was difficult to find with some changes to the routes having happened over time.Tomorrow we explore the Jamiesons Drift - Eshowe Road where the Tugela meander does about an 8 km loop, the Gps showing a 300 metre seperation.outSee More

Tugela Falls "extreme" abseil.

Am sitting here at Amphitheatre Backpackers in the Northern Berg after spending three days helping this crazy Norwegian adventurer get all his ropes and gear to the top of the Tugela Falls for this incredible abseil. Rope length was 2 x 600m giving him a 1200m drop. Think he may just have broken some records in doing this. The comment afterwards was "Never again".

Struggled to get pics once he was over the edge but here is the one of Helge going "over the edge".…
