Adventure Travel Africa - The Social Network for you ::

We have traveled all over SA and still have not found the ultimate place to stay for a while in SA. Nature's Valley and Cape Town come up close to the top but we are open to suggestions. The Wild Coast is also one of our favorite areas but again we need to do more traveling. Let us know what you think!!!

For "more space than your imagination", you really need to get out into the Kalahari. Real travelling for real people:)
We will most definitely check it out, would love to travel in the Kalahari more.
Rahel would love to visit when she gets back from Europe.
So 1 vote registered for the Kalahari!
My job has forced me to live all over South Africa. I grew up in Pietermaritzburg, got shunted around the country for a year by the army and have never settled since. My first move was to Pietersburg (7) then Kroonstad (2), then back to Maritzburg (5) then Nelspruit (5) then up North to Vivo (5) a complete shift south to Hermanus(2), a move west to Kommetjie(6) and now I live in Howick. In between I did contract work living on and off in Kinshasha, Duoala, Banjock (Cameroon bush), Kanaga and Goma DRC and Tabora and Mpanda in Tanzania.
The best place? I love the Natal Midlands. The best weather is without a doubt Pietersburg and Cape Town runs neck and neck with Nelspruit but for different reasons for the worst. The wind in Cape Town and the humidity in Nelspruit. If I won the Lotto and could live anywhere it would be a toss up between Kommetjie or Howick.

Hi there
The best place in SA is the Elephant Coast area... Jozini dam, down to Kosi accross to Mozambique border.... lots of wildlife, tiger fishing, elephants, rhino, lion and Tonga Culture...
wild coast wins hands down - you can go mild to wild in a matter hours and the scenery is breath taking. Unspoilt and how nature intended it to be.
I live at the very start of the wild coast on the Kwelera River in the Areena Riverside resort and have the chance to rough it up the coast when the spirit moves, or just walk down to the river at my door and enjoy all the beauty, birds and wildlife that happly live together.
The wild coast is so varied, that there is something for everyone and definately one for the bucket list!
